Full Job Description

Ocean Infinity is seeking a Contracts Analyst on a full time, permanent basis who will provide proactive support to the Contracts Manager and all levels of the business on contract-related matters.
What will you do:
The core responsibilities of the Contracts Analyst are to provide proactive support to the Contracts Manager and all levels of the business on contract-related matters which will include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Review, qualify, negotiate and advise on contractual and commercial terms and conditions relating to the wide range of services offered by Ocean Infinity globally across all phases of contractual activity, including pre-contract (pre-qualification, tendering, negotiation) and post-contract (contract handover, contractual support during project execution and monitor existing contract deadlines, expiry and renewals);

  • Attend contractual meetings with internal stakeholders, clients and relevant third parties, including clarification and negotiation;

  • Liaise with Commercial (Tender & Business Development), Project, Legal, Insurance, Finance and other internal departments for support, advice and guidance;

  • Implement Ocean Infinity's Contracting Policy and Guidelines in accordance with Ocean Infinity's processes and procedures and contribute to the continuous improvement and refinement of the same;

  • Development of new and existing procedures and systems, through technology or otherwise, in order to supplement and improve current practices;

  • Maintain effective filing and storage of contractual documentation within Ocean Infinity's repository;

  • Remain up to date with relevant legal developments, new legislation and regulations to provide proactive advice to the business and support functions on relevant law and contractual provisions;

  • Communicate and present information to stakeholders about all contract-related matters including risk analysis and potential solutions to mitigate exposure;

  • Perform other duties or tasks as required.

    Possess excellent communication, attention to detail, and organisational skills, with the ability to think critically and manage multiple projects simultaneously;

  • Proactive and collaborative work ethic and ability to build working relationships with various departments within Ocean Infinity;

  • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills;

  • Degree or equivalent in relevant discipline (preferably in Law but not essential);

  • Work history in a contracts-related role or legal experience (preferably within a marine services organisation);

  • IT literate, including Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint), Outlook and Teams;

  • Fluency in the English language is mandatory;

  • Ability to take ownership and engagement in the work;

  • Integrity, credibility and maturity for confidential issues;

  • Ability to work as a trusted advisor with senior stakeholders;

  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment;

  • Driven, proactive and able to work autonomously with little supervision towards the company's purpose;

  • Critical thinking and ability to show initiative.


  • Desirable:
  • Experience in the marine and/or offshore energy industry is beneficial;

  • Familiarity with industry standard form contracts including LOGIC, NEC, FIDIC etc. will be a distinct advantage.

    Salary for the position: Up to £40,000 per year
    Salary: The salary varies for this position as we are recruiting in multiple regional locations and job grades. The salary process is based on skills, abilities, and experience required.
