An exciting opportunity to join FM Conway as a Contracts Manager within our growing Street Lighting division. As our Contracts Manager, you will play a fundamental role in implementing street lighting works efficiently and safely, whilst contributing to the profitability of the division and providing a professional service to our clients. This is a permanent, full-time position based in London.
The duties of a Contracts Manager will include:
- Contributing to the success of the business through the implementation of street lighting/ electrical works in a professional and efficient manner ensuring the highest level of health, safety, and quality.
- Planning and programming of works, including pre-contract site visits to determine project requirements.
- Ensuring competency portfolios and other documentation is maintained to the required industry standard and to retain accreditation to the relevant industrial bodies.
- Ensuring Toolbox Talks, Safety Alerts, Daily Briefings, Safety Inspections, Customer Satisfactions, Supply Chain and Near Miss reporting's are completed as per company requirements.
- Maintaining standards that meet CDM regulations and within customer restrictions & timelines.
- Ensuring that all site works are executed in a time and cost-efficient manner whilst ensuring regular liaison with clients, the general public, authorities, and sub-contractors / suppliers; to include ensuring that the correct licences/ permits are in place and valid for the works being undertaken.
- Ensuring that plant and materials are ordered to support the works programme as well as ensuring all plant is fit for purpose and maintained to required standards.
You will have proven experience in street lighting or highways infrastructure as a Contracts Manager, ideally with experience on public sector contracts. You will have strong commercial understanding and knowledge of street lighting disciplines, as well as experience with CMS / remote working systems, inspection and testing and safe isolation procedures. It is essential for you to have your emergency first aid certificate and a SMSTS qualification. Ideally you will also have a NRSWA for supervisors qualification, ECS or CSCS, G39 certification, HEA/HERS supervisor and IOSH or H&S qualification. This role will involve travel to other FM Conway and customer locations, and therefore you must be able to drive and possess a full UK driving licence.
