Full Job Description

The Joint Research Office works to serve the research community across the Imperial College Academic Health Science Centre (AHSC). Organised into specialist teams, JRO staff facilitate the management of research grants and contracts in the Faculty of Medicine. The JRO Contracts Team provides advice on all matters relating to terms and conditions of externally funded research projects and related agreements., The Joint Research Office is seeking to recruit Contracts Negotiator to provide support to investigators and departments in drafting, reviewing and negotiating research and research related agreements. You will have ownership of managing a portfolio of research contracts, which will involve checking financials and reading project protocols to understand the nature of research to enable you to draft and negotiate appropriate contractual terms.

  • You should have experience of working in an administrative job (preferably within the Higher Education, NHS, charitable or related sectors) together with proven experience of working independently and as part of a team.
  • You will have proficient computer skills (Excel, Word, email), an eye for detail and will be able to work to deadlines.
  • You will be committed to the delivery of customer services and have a "can do" approach.
