Control Engineer

Take on a new challenge and apply your testing expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You'll report to David Cox (Head of Software TCMS and Train Control Manager), and work alongside other members of the Services Central Engineering team. The role will encompass deployment and application of Train Control & Information Solutions development procedures, processes & design rules on his / her project, as well as validating the TC&IS Development, Configuration, Validation and Management Plan application. We'll look to you to:

• Ensuring proper management and traceability of the hardware and software configuration - including design tools - (producing the release notes)
• Ensure that the content of the baselines, of the release or delivery notes and of the Software Reference versions identifications are in conformity with the release.
• Achieving the specified software quality requirements detailed in System Engineering and TCMS Software Quality Plan and informs the team members of their associated responsibilities.
• Ensuring the quality on all domain of his/her project (Software)
• Chairing/supporting the design planning and the achievement of the Design/Verification reviews in all step of the Design For Quality cycle
• Delivering all TC & IS Engineering outputs including, TCMS RSADs, Software specification or Functional Design Description FDD, Software, Electrical Schemes and Electrical Products definition (with the support of Electrical Lead Engineer), in compliance with the Engineering commitments.
• Managing interface and ensure follow up of sub-systems (electrical components, PACIS, CCTV, Multimedia, TCMS, Event recorder, Train Ground Communication, ATC/Safety equipment)
• Delivery of Train Software according to his / her Engineering Work Package.
• Being Accountable/Maintaining and Controlling KPIs for the project and reporting to S/W Domain Leader.
• Accountable for Software Validation for projects or multiple projects/products

• University degree in Railway Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, Automation Engineering or Electrical and Mechanical Engineering
Mandatory Experience:
• Experience in Software system/Application engineering for Engineer
• Hands-on development experience of one or more software phases like software development, hardware-software integration etc
• Good Working level Knowledge of network protocols like MVB, Ethernet, CAN, RS232, RS 485.
Desirable Experience:
• Knowledge of rolling stock
• Certification in System Engineering
• Experience working knowledge of safety management systems and safety risk assessment
• Proficient in the use of MS Office, SAP, BI/BO
