Full Job Description

There are two full time positions open, both of 37.5hrs per week, attracting enhancement payments for working out of hours in line with NHS terms and conditions.

The Security Department has received significant funding investment and is replacing all its existing CCTV cameras, cables, recording devices and technology. This is an opportunity to be involved from the start as this new security management system is introduced. Synectics Synergy is the new VMS and Briefcam AI has been bought as part of the technology package. Although initially the post holder is likely to start at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital (RHH) control room, the service is centralising at the Northern General Hospital as soon as sufficient CCTV cameras are replaced on the RHH site to allow this to happen. This is an opportunity to join a rapidly changing service and be part of that change.

These posts are on a fixed rotating roster and the post holders will be required to work all shifts on whichever day or time the rostered shift falls.

Main duties of the job

Provide a response service for alarms at the Trust.

Provide an out of hours repair response helpline for the estates department.

Produce access control/ID cards.

Process applications for access control.

Monitor CCTV including providing evidence as and when required.

You will be working for an organisation which values and respects all of its staff and the community it serves. The Trust is a leader in the NHS and research sectors and provides excellent benefits for its staff. This includes commitments to professional development but also many policies to support employees in balancing their personal and professional lives.

The Security Department's management makes a commitment to Lead, Inspire, Engage, Develop our staff and the Department in line with Trust PROUD values. To be available and accountable at all levels. To raise the profile and professionalism of the department so that it would be the service provider that the Trust would choose.
