Full Job Description

The Campus Services department is a strategic and outward looking department overseeing the delivery of commercial services. An opportunity has arisen for an experienced hands-on Supervisor within our convenience stores operation. The role will assist in the operational management of the stores, ensuring we provide excellent service and experience to students, staff and visitors across Campus.

To be successful you will need to be an experienced supervisor, ideally from a catering or retail background. An understanding of the running of store operations is desired and catering and retails would also be advantageous. You must be able to work to tight deadlines, be competent in using Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel, and have good verbal, written, and presentation skills. The experience to work on a variety of tasks and see this through to day-to-day business.

Required knowledge, skills, and ability

Are able to demonstrate people management skills and have experience of managing a team.
An understanding of catering & retail operations.
Be able to lead the wholesaling function, sourcing and creating opportunities.
A customer focussed positive mind-set. You will always strive to deliver on and exceed students, staff, and visitors' expectations and understanding of desires from diverse backgrounds
Methodical approach and accuracy to detail, with experience of managing, planning, and controlling budgets and resourcing
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in written, telephone and face to face contact, with strong evidence of reporting, writing skills and experience of collating information from various sources
High level of IT skills with competence in Microsoft office packages
Significant experience of prioritising a substantial workload and working accurately to deadlines in a pressurised environment
