Full Job Description

Our Sheffield team specialises in all aspects of Residential Conveyancing, including sales, purchases, re-mortgages, transfer of equity, and complex title transactions. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality service and support to our clients throughout their property transactions.

Most of our work is based on our reputation and comes on a Private Client basis and from internal referrals from our full service Law Firm. Whilst we do work closely with estate agents and lenders, we do not work on a volume referral basis

Your Role and What You'll Be Doing

  • You will be the initial point of contact for new enquiries into the team and work closely with fee earners in preparing and providing cost quotations and information to potential new clients.

  • Opening files upon receipt of completed instruction forms and providing the Terms of Business to our clients.

  • Closing files and entering them into the database.

  • Completing deeds returns to clients and lenders following receipt of completed applications and managing deed requests from storage.

  • Assisting the team with incoming calls, handling queries where possible, and referring calls to the relevant person. Being the first point of contact for our clients and potential new clients.

  • Opening and filing post in the correct manner.

  • Supporting home workers by printing letters in the office, scanning documents into the case management system, and filing original documents.

  • Supporting fee earners on the day of completion by ensuring all funds are in, chasing lenders for mortgage advances, arranging payments, and liaising with all parties to complete the sale or purchase. Completing all letters and arranging for all payments along with SDLT submissions.

    We are seeking a candidate with administration experience who is keen to work in conveyancing. Experience in a conveyancing team is welcome but not essential as full training will be provided. The ideal candidate will possess:
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

  • A proactive approach and willingness to learn.

  • Ability to on own initiative and within a team.
