Full Job Description

  • Assist with the conveyancing process for residential property transactions, including sales, purchases, and re-mortgages.
  • Draft legal documents, including contracts, transfer deeds, and completion statements.
  • Liaise with clients, solicitors, estate agents, and lenders, ensuring effective communication throughout the transaction.
  • Conduct property searches, review title documents, and handle enquiries from other parties.
  • Prepare SDLT returns, submit applications to the Land Registry, and manage post-completion tasks.
  • Maintain and update case management systems, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Provide general administrative support to the conveyancing team, including file management.

    Previous experience in residential conveyancing, ideally within a law firm setting.
  • Strong understanding of the conveyancing process, including knowledge of Land Registry and SDLT requirements.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
  • Proficient in case management systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Desirable:
  • Experience in London's residential property market.
  • Paralegal qualification or relevant legal studies background.
