Our school community is vibrant and diverse, and we are looking for a passionate Cook to join our dedicated team., We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Cook to prepare nutritious, delicious meals for our students. The successful candidate will play a vital role in promoting healthy eating habits and ensuring that our school kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently. You will work closely with the school staff to provide a varied menu that caters to diverse dietary needs and preferences.,

  • Prepare and cook healthy, balanced meals for students and staff, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Plan and develop menus that accommodate the dietary requirements of students, including allergies and food intolerances.
  • Source and manage food supplies, ensuring the kitchen is well-stocked and efficiently organized.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and dining areas in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with school and health staff to promote healthy eating initiatives and educate students about food and nutrition.
  • Assist in the training and supervision of kitchen staff and volunteers, fostering a collaborative team environment.

    Previous experience in a similar cooking role, preferably within a school or large-scale food service environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene.
  • Ability to create varied menus that cater to different dietary needs.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • A passion for working with children and promoting healthy eating habits.
  • Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
