Full Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for a part-time Cook to join our team at Redclyffe House, based in Alverstoke, Gosport. This role will be working alongside the care team and service users who live at Redclyffe House to prepare them a fresh homemade meal each day. We are looking for 15 hours a week to work across 5 days a week. Times for the shifts are negotiable but we are ideally looking for someone between 3pm and 6pm, Monday to Friday. Responsibilities: The appointed person will be responsible for:

  • Preparing a cooking meals to meet the needs and preferences of the service users we support.
  • Being involved in the ordering and management of food and other Kitchen supplies.
  • Completing Kitchen audits and ensuring the safer foods, better business standards are met and records maintained.

    Ideally you will have knowledge and experience in a care home setting with an understanding of modified texture diets and food fortification, however training will be provided.

  • Have excellent communication skills, be a great team player, be flexible and have can do attitude.
  • Food handling course qualification desirable
