ROLE: CookHOURS: 22.5 - 37.5 Hours per weekSHIFTS: Monday to Friday working between 07.00 - 18.00pm on a roster basis and Saturday and Sunday working 07.00 - 15.00 on a roster basisPAY: 12.50 Per Hour We are a dynamic and caring healthcare facility committed to providing excellent care and service to our patients, residents, and staff. We believe that nutrition plays a vital role in health and recovery, and we are seeking a dedicated and skilled cook to join our kitchen team. If you have a passion for preparing high-quality meals in a healthcare environment and ensuring proper nutrition for both staff and patients, we want to hear from you!As a Cook in our healthcare facility, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious and delicious meals for both staff and patients. Your role will ensure that meals are prepared according to dietary requirements, health standards, and individual preferences where applicable.,

  • Prepare and cook meals for patients, residents, and staff according to daily menus and specific dietary guidelines.
  • Ensure that meals are nutritious, appealing, and compliant with health and safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, following all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
  • Oversee food inventory, assist in ordering ingredients, and minimize waste.
  • Adhere to proper food storage and labeling protocols.
  • Assist in meal distribution and communicate with nursing staff regarding patient food preferences or allergies.
  • Engage positively with patients, staff, and visitors to create a welcoming atmosphere in the dining areas.

    Proven experience as a cook, preferably in a healthcare or institutional setting however this is not essential
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a flexible work schedule, including weekends and holidays.
