Full Job Description

  • Preparing, cooking, and serving well balanced and nutritious food and ensuring that food is stored according to food hygiene legislation
  • Promoting high standards and complying with all relevant legislation and regulations
  • Carrying out food and fridge temperature checks, and recording as necessary
  • Interacting with our service users daily and overseeing service user activities within the kitchen.
  • Planning menus in consultation with the manager and service users and ensuring that there are sufficient quantities of stock to enable the meals to be prepared
  • Ensure that all areas of the kitchen are kept to a high standard of cleanliness and the cleaning schedule is adhered to., We reserve the right to close earlier if we receive sufficient applicants.
  • A satisfactory enhanced DBS check is required for this role and job offers will be subject to the Trust receiving satisfactory evidence of the successful applicant's right to work in the UK.     Are you a creative and friendly Cook with a passion for preparing nutritious and well-balanced meals? We have a fantastic opportunity for a Part-time Permanent Cook to join our team based in our care home in Bury on a permanent basis, working 20 hours per week. This may include some weekend working.
