Full Job Description
You will work with the team managing the day to day preparation and cooking of meals for the elderly residents to include modified textured diet, whilst ensuring that health & safety standards are met in the kitchen.
You'll liaise with the Care Team to ensure meals meet residents medical requirements, ensuring that such meals are prepared using the appropriate methods and in the correct environment.
Ideally you will also have experience or assisted in ordering of stock and arranging delivery items to be put away correctly, and have an understanding of temperatures and labelling of fridge items.
Hours of work: 28 hours per week.
What will you be doing?We are looking for passionate people who will ensure that our customers have a high quality dining experience, and always treat our customers with kindness, respect and compassion, to help foster a feeling of happiness and contentment., Previous experience with a catering environment.
Food hygiene certificate.
Work within health & safety guidelines.
A good understanding of numeracy and literacy.
A good respect for diversity and individuality

Obelisk House (Kingsthorpe) provides exceptional levels of support in residential and Dementia care.
