Cook - Secondary Schools

Cardiff Council is seeking an experienced Cook to support the education school meals provision at secondary schools during a planned peak in demand. You will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals to ensure that students receive high-quality, nutritious food. This is a temporary role covering seasonal demand, providing excellent experience within a supportive team., Prepare, cook, and serve school meals in line with the menu and dietary requirements.
Ensure health and safety standards are strictly adhered to in the kitchen.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen at all times.
Assist with the ordering and control of stock.

Previous experience as a cook or chef, preferably in an educational setting.
Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards.
Ability to work efficiently under time pressure.
Strong team player with good communication skills.
