Full Job Description

Currently there is an opportunity to join Langstone Good Neighbours as a Coordinator. The group offers the local community medical appointment transport, befriending and shopping and is an essential service in the Langstone area.

Langstone Good Neighbours is supported by the Good Neighbours Network which incorporates over 120 independent voluntary groups across Hampshire.

You as group Coordinator would have ongoing support from the group and the Network on best practice with access to invaluable resources and advice.

Some admin experience would be desirable and the group can help with induction and training.

The role involves receiving requests from people who would like help from the group and then to match this person with an available and appropriate volunteer.

The role will require the Coordinator phone to be available between 10am and 5pm Monday to Friday. The Coordinator is expected to check messages once a day and call clients back by the next day.

You can offer a 2 month commitment and there will be a rota system in place.

You will have a contract mobile phone to enable you to undertake the role from home.

Expenses are reimbursed by the group.
