Full Job Description

This position is responsible for the development of Core Banking - Avaloq, the implementation and continuous management/upgrade within the Domain Core Banking Sub Value Stream, within the set budget and roadmap/core milestones. Thereby latest regulatory and FSA trends and changes have to be taken into account. This is a rare opportunity to drive appropriate usage of a product across different regions within HSBC, but particularly in the UK where Avaloq is relatively new.

In this role you will:

  • Create, own and champion the Core Banking product, and roadmap across all relevant booking centres in line with GPB's strategy, priorities, and customer needs - in full adherence to Group's/GPB's legal and regulatory frameworks.

  • Actively contribute and provide input to the further development of the GPB Core Banking SVS Strategy and Proposition - based on the deep understanding of the GPB client needs.

  • Deliver clear, high level, business requirements to GPB&W Channels, breaking down requirements, working in an agile and collaborative way with ALL teams to ensure the faithful delivery of business requirements.

  • Have responsibility for customer testing for Core Banking, including the production of prototypes or proof of concept executions.

  • Work collaboratively with business product owners and Digital Business Change to ensure proper implementation in all booking centres

    Extensive Private Banking experience with an in-depth understanding of customer needs and requirements - essential

  • Strong and proven experience of developing and managing the core banking product in question, namely Avaloq - essential

  • Domain knowledge of local UK/EMEA regulatory requirements is preferable but not essential

  • In depth working understanding of Digital Business is essential

  • The ability to play a key role in the delivery of change across regions whilst managing varying stakeholder requirements simultaneously
