Full Job Description

Our high performing Corporate Debt team are looking for lawyers to join our expanding practice. The role includes both lender and borrower side work, funding the working capital requirements and strategic plans (including acquisitions) of large and typically international businesses and our work exposes us to a wide range of industry sectors. Based in London, our team works with clients and colleagues across the UK and internationally.,

  • Depending on your level of experience, you will take responsibility for drafting and negotiating finance documents, managing aspects of transaction process and supervising the contribution of less experienced colleagues.

  • Fostering and growing client relationships and developing new ones is an integral part of this role.

  • Your technical expertise (appropriate to your level of experience) must be a given. Additionally, we aim to deploy imagination. You will therefore be expected to be client focused. This goes beyond excellent and tailored transaction management and (for example) includes being curious about the borrower's industry and business (and related opportunities and challenges) and thinking about how AI and other tools may be harnessed to improve the overall service.

  • Continuous self-development is valued and you will be encouraged to engage with formal training programmes (whether technical or skills based) and to draw on the mentoring, coaching and leadership development programmes available to you.

  • Dependent on your level of experience, you will be expected to generously share your time, knowledge and experience to develop less experienced colleagues.

    be a qualified lawyer, with experience or interest relevant to the role described

  • (depending on your level of experience) be very familiar with Loan Market Association documents and English law security documents, both from the perspective of drafting and negotiating
