Full Job Description

As the Finance Assistant working in the Consumer & Market Intelligence (CMI) division of CACI Limited, you will be a working within a high performing team that supports an established multi-million-pound business. This is an exciting role which involves working closely with key stakeholders, both within the finance team and the wider business, and being responsible for the day-to-day operational and finance activities within the group. The role reports to the CMI Financial Controller, and the role will act as a liaison point with stakeholders across all areas of the business including Sales, Project Delivery and Central Finance.,

  • Primary responsibility will be providing support to the CMI management accounts team, including :
  • Revenue accounting
  • Learn and apply revenue recognition rules
  • Review new contracts and assist with the monthly booking and reconciliation of revenue
  • Ensure the department complies with specified controls for Sarbanes-Oxley purposes
  • Assist with control of unbilled revenue accounts
  • Assist with the monthly reconciliation of control accounts
  • Review and follow up unbilled balances by project, liaise with sales teams and report to the finance management team
  • Balance sheet reconciliations including ensuring accruals & prepayments are correctly accounted for
  • Assisting to prepare monthly flash forecast, variance analysis and annual budget
  • Posting timesheets and ensuring business units complete these in a timely manner
  • Other responsibilities
  • Finance operations support including setup of contracts in the finance system
  • Liaising with internal and external auditors
  • Sales commission preparation based on monthly sales report
  • Other ad-hoc duties as required

    We are looking for a graduate with strong educational background, excellent interpersonal skills and desire to study for a professional finance qualification. Finance / accounting degree helpful but not essential as practical training will be provided in addition to professional studies. Up to one year's relevant work experience would be of use although we are happy to consider candidates looking to enter the profession for the first time.
  • Above all, candidates must demonstrate the following :
  • Methodical and organised approach to work
  • Strong IT skills including familiarity with Microsoft Office
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to analyse written and numerical information and a keen eye for detail
  • Used to working to strict deadlines and able to work hours necessary to get job done
