Full Job Description

The Corporate Finance Internship will be for 12 months and will be based in our Chiswick office in London. You will not only gain practical experience within the Finance team, but you will also have opportunities to understand how the business operates. You will be working within a diverse team and so we are looking for a good team player, who has good communication skills and is adaptable Reports to Corporate Finance Manager UK&I Core Relationships Internal:

  • UK&I Cluster and WEA finance team;
  • Purchase Order requisitioners;
  • Departmental budget holders;
  • Financial Shared Services - GBS
  • External:
  • ONS (Office for National Statistics)
  • External auditors (KPMG)
  • HMRC (His Majesty's Revenue and Customs), Working closely with Global Business Services team responsible for Planning & Reporting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Intercompany and Master Data.
  • Ensure all monthly BAU tasks relating to planning & reporting are completed on time and to a high quality.
  • Supporting with Month End procedures: consolidation of accruals, posting journals, recharges, ensuring all the adjustments are done, etc.
  • Ad-hoc finance support to other functions, ad-hoc requests
  • Managing intercompany transactions and recharges
  • Support Corporate Finance in different projects
  • Supporting procure to pay process, vendor management, open invoices and service receipts follow up with purchase requisitioners.

    Basic knowledge of Financial and Accounting processes
  • Strong Analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills (working with multiple stakeholders across functions and levels)
  • Technical / Functional Skills Required
  • Strong Excel skills (LOOKUPs, SUMIFs, Pivot tables). General confidence in working with numbers and multiple large spreadsheets.
  • Strong PowerPoint skills (especially charts)
  • Education / Qualifications / Certifications Required
  • Bachelor's degree in finance/Business/Economics/Accounting
  • Pursuing a professional accountancy qualification (CA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA) would-be a plus.
  • BENEFICIAL
