Corporate Information Officer YS459

We are looking for a Corporate Information Officer to join the Corporate Communications Team at West Yorkshire Police on a 12-month fixed term contract.

A core part of your role will be taking ownership of West Yorkshire Police's campaigns, from the initial insight phase right through to the execution and evaluation. You will develop internal and external communications and branded materials to support the force's strategic objectives and the work of operational policing, aiding crime prevention and public safety. The ability to take on the role of brand guardian, provide strong advice and draft clear, concise, and impactful communications is key.

You will be the primary contact to advise and guide officers and staff around the most suitable communications approach to address a specific issue, developing engaging solutions that adhere to brand guidelines and budget requirements. An example of this is our ongoing police officer recruitment. As well as internal stakeholders, our partner organisations will rely on you for your expertise and knowledge - external stakeholder consultation and engagement is key to tackling many of the issues which matter to our communities.

You will work closely with our photography and videography team, our graphic designers, website development and social media specialists, alongside a team of communications officers. We also have our own in-house print unit within the force.

The right person for this role will be collaborative and adaptable with strong inter-personal and organisational skills. You will have demonstrable experience in communications or an impressive transferable skillset from another sector such as a PR agency or marketing.
