Full Job Description

Your role: We have a fantastic opportunity for a Corporate Reporting Accountant to join our Finance team at News UK Peterborough. Acting as a support function to the Finance team you will be a key contact for our auditors and News Corp also supporting more junior members of the team through training and mentoring.

Your Team: This will sit within the Corporate Reporting Team who report financial submissions for News UK and its subsidiaries to the US parent company using Onestream (training will be provided).

Day to day you will:

  • Load key reporting packs for submission to US Corporate for News UK and its Subsidiaries including preparation of analytical reviews.

  • Reparation of key Financial Statements for News UK and its Subsidiaries to agreed timetables and the reconciliation process to management reporting

  • You will be a key contact in the management of the audit processes across the group supporting the finance managers to deliver requests timely

  • Develop key relationships across Finance to ensure deadlines are met

  • Completion and ownership of a number complex reconciliations

  • Review of reconciliations prepared by analysts within the team

  • Perform annual SOX testing on key business processes

  • Assume responsibility for the US Tax compliance reporting (with support from the Tax and wider corporate reporting team), To do this, we believe our employees must represent different backgrounds, perspectives and experiences.     Effective time management

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified

  • Experience in Audit management

  • Experience in SOX testing (not essential)
