Full Job Description

Corporate Reporting Analyst - 15 Month FTC Your team: we are the Corporate Reporting team. You will be part of the team who report financial submissions for News UK and its subsidiaries using Onestream (training will be provided). Your role: You will play an integral part of the Corporate Reporting team and organise your time efficiently to meet our deadlines. As a corporate reporting analyst you will look after monthly, quarterly and annual tasks. This is a varied role will an opportunity to learn about different areas of the business. Day to day you will be:

  • Completion and ownership of a number of monthly reconciliations on Blackline across News UK and its subsidiaries.
  • Preparation and maintenance of monthly excel based cashbooks including posting to the general ledger.
  • You will load reporting packs for submission to US Corporate for News UK and its Subsidiaries as well as assisting analytical review.
  • You will assist in the preparation of Financial Statements for News UK and its Subsidiaries to agreed timetables.
  • You will assist the fulfilment of external audit requests with support from your line manager.
  • You will take ownership of testing your allocated finance processes as part of the wider Corporate Reporting team. No prior knowledge of SOX is required.
  • You will establish and maintain accounting policies and controls.
  • You will assist the corporate accountant to manage US Tax compliance reporting (with support from the Tax and wider Corporate reporting team).
  • Support Finance manager with ad hoc tasks for the wider finance function
