Full Job Description

Corporate Secretariat's role is to aid the understanding of all statutory and regulatory requirements globally, and to build and enhance trust by facilitating decision making that aligns with our stakeholders and with corporate governance requirements. We do this internally by supporting and collaborating with colleagues across the Group, from the CEO down, and are involved in corporate projects that impact on the future strategic development and direction of GSK. You'll do this while gaining valuable training in the pharmaceutical industry with the view to you directly influencing our growth and development.   • Develop a sound understanding of corporate secretarial practice and corporate governance
  • Build working relationships with people at all levels of our organisation, understand how Companies and Boards operate, and interact with the business
  • Learn how companies respond to feedback from shareholders and other key stakeholders
  • Gain a detailed insight into a large, multi-national, and dual (UK and US) listed company
  • Help facilitate the delivery of our corporate strategy
  • Learn how to collaborate with our business partners and external suppliers
  • Get involved in managing projects and prioritising a variety of tasks
  • Create innovative ideas that add value to GSK
  • Throughout this early stage of your career path, your experience will be complemented by numerous opportunities to meet with other graduates, both during training and at networking events. You will undertake several core training and personal development courses, alongside additional opportunities arranged using your personal development budget. We will also help you to achieve your professional qualification with the Chartered Governance Institute. Examples of potential job rotation exposure: Governance, Plc & Shareholder Services
  • Undertaking market intelligence reviews and benchmarking to assist in maintaining and communicating governance structures
  • Ensuring GSK plc's compliance with statutory requirements, listing regimes, corporate governance requirements and best practice
  • Executing stock exchange announcements
  • Liaising with shareholders and overseeing the relationship with the Share Registrar and ADR Depository
  • Participation in the production of the Group annual reports
  • Assisting in the organisation of the Annual General Meeting
  • Global Subsidiary Operations
  • Involvement in company incorporations, liquidations, appointment and removal of directors, and the filing of statutory accounts for various UK subsidiary companies
  • Drafting of minutes, shareholder resolutions, powers of attorneys, letters of authorisation, authorised signatory listings, and relationship letters
  • Completion and review of confirmation statements, return of share allotments, overseas company updates and statutory accounts, undertaking filings with Companies House
  • Preparation for, attendance at, and minuting of, UK subsidiary board meetings
  • Involvement in a range of Corporate and Treasury-related projects and procedures
  • Assisting with the management of the Group's investments in other, third-party, companies
  • Actively participating in the Group's Disclosure Committee and public reporting and announcements
  • Training in, and use of, the Diligent Entities global corporate database and other governance systems and technology

    Education required: A Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in the areas of law, accountancy or business, however a passionate interest in this area is more important.
  • Graduation by August 2025.
