Full Job Description

  • Represent the Responsibility team on the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) project including but not limited to Value Chain mapping, Double Materiality Assessment, Impact, Risk, and Opportunity (IRO) assessment preparation, stakeholder interviews and providing data support for limited assurance requirements
  • Work closely with our Procurement and Vendor Management teams to:
  • undertake value chain mapping for Janus Henderson group/entities
  • help embed best practise in terms of annual due diligence surveys and questionnaires to support data collection
  • Support identification of materials factors under CSRD and work with the ESG Data & Analytics team to undertake source to data mapping for Portfolio-related data fields. Work with the Technology team to document requirements for automated reporting solutions and integration with our central data solution
  • In partnership with the Facilities team:
  • Advise on corporate sustainability improvement initiatives and standardise sustainability data collection
  • Track corporate, environmental and sustainability legislative compliance across offices
  • Provide procedures/implement with Facilities any necessary changes to maintain or supersede regulatory compliance in the field of environment/sustainability
  • Incorporate suitable control frameworks to ensure data related input is robust and verifiable through the supply / value chain
  • Help design and deliver firmwide CSRD training for various stakeholders
  • Support development of standard operating procedures for CSRD
  • Coordinate information provided to Janus Henderson's corporate ESG evaluators (e.g., MSCI, Sustainalytics, etc.)
  • Support Janus Henderson's end-to-end corporate carbon emissions collection and reporting process
  • Help set and track science-based emissions targets, upholding Janus Henderson's published corporate environmental commitments
  • Establish strong stakeholder relationships and maintain effective communication channels with:
  • Risk, Legal and Compliance teams on regulatory submissions
  • Knowledge Management team on maintaining and uplifting Corporate Sustainability content
  • RFP team on firmwide RFPs/DDQs regarding Janus Henderson's corporate sustainability practices and approach
  • Responsibility Content & Learning team to update corporate sustainability information on intranet

    Hands-on experience with CSRD, Annual ESG Reporting and similar frameworks like TCFD, GRI, SASB, ISSB
  • Experience of working with a variety of sustainability vendors such as Workiva, Greenstone, Climate Impact Partners or similar vendors
  • Experience of working with Big4 or other consultancies in implementation of systems and processes to support sustainability standards and reports
  • Deep knowledge of carbon accounting standards and protocols, such as the GHG Protocol, CDP, and ISO 14064
  • Knowledge of relevant environmental regulations and policies, as well as emerging trends and best practices in sustainability
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to collect, organise and interpret complex data sets
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical audiences
  • Strong reporting writing skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a diverse, global team environment
  • Nice to have skills
  • Bachelor's degree or certification in a related field (Environmental Science, Sustainability, or similar).
  • Experience working in investment management, asset management, or financial services
  • Project management certification
