Are you ready to take on a pivotal role in our digital transformation? We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Corporate Systems Manager to join our progressive team. In this role, you will collaborate with senior and middle managers, software companies, banking industry professionals, and other key stakeholders to enhance our IT services. This is your opportunity to drive technical excellence and lead the development of systems that meet statutory legislation and the Council's Corporate Priorities.

As our Corporate Systems Manager, you will design and implement efficient systems and workflows, promoting continuous improvement across Council services. You will lead a team of IT professionals, guiding them in solving complex problems, assessing risks, and creating contingency plans to ensure system reliability. Responsibilities include drafting user requirements, assessing supplier proposals, and leading IT supplier negotiations. Your collaboration with the Head of Digital and Corporate Systems will be crucial in ensuring business continuity and optimising system performance.

Your role will involve maintaining system integrity, correcting database errors, coordinating software upgrades, and validating system control totals. You will represent the Service at technical meetings, evaluate new systems, and provide training to staff on new technologies. Ensuring compliance with GDPR and PCI regulations, you will test software releases and prepare annual business plans. Promoting partnership working, attending training sessions, supervising staff, and monitoring Health and Safety regulations are also key aspects of this role.
