In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop expert knowledge of course costing and TRAC (Transparent Approach to Costing). TRAC is a costing methodology specific to the Higher Education Sector. We have also developed course costing information from the TRAC data, which is of growing importance to the University. The main responsibilities include:

  • preparing and presenting reports for senior management

As a fully qualified professional with an accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent), this role will ideally suit someone that enjoys working with data and analysis and is able to interpret the reasons underlying the results.
  • Experience of costing and an interest in the Higher Education sector and how Universities are funded is desirable. The ability to take ownership of the process, use judgement and communicate complex information is essential. Confidence in learning to use new and different systems will also be important in this role, although support and training will be provided.

Whilst the exact days you can work remotely will differ between teams and departments, it should provide you with greater flexibility, provided you are in the UK.
