Full Job Description

Bolton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, friendly and motivated Staff Counsellor to work within the Occupational Health Department. Reporting to the Department Manager, you will hold a British Association of Counselling Diploma and associated accreditation or equivalent. Ideally with a apeciality in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT); This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a team which has developed an excellent service which fully supports the health and wellbeing needs of staff working for the Trust.
You will be expected to manage your own case load, negotiate client contracts and demonstrate your experience of evidence based practice to enhance your work. In order to fit in with the demands of this dynamic role and the needs of the team, you will be able to adapt to change, work both proactively and reactively in a flexible manner and demonstrate team working and a positive attitude.
If all the above sounds like you, then we would love to hear from you., + Provides professional counselling for a wider range of issues including, but not restricted to relationship issues, depression, stress, anxiety, bereavement and work related issues.
+ To utilise theory, evidence-based literature and research to support evidence-based practice on an individual basis.
+ To agree a contract with a client after an initial assessment.
+ To provide individual counselling to clients.
+ To undertake continuing risk assessment of clients.
+ To organise/ manage their own caseload.
+ To be aware of and use appropriate referral systems.
+ To keep confidential records in accordance with professional codes of practice and Trust
+ Partake in Mental Wellbeing Clinics and sign post service users to a range of support that will be available.
+ Help and partake is widening and diversifying our support package to staff members.
