Full Job Description

Please note a full application including a covering letter detailing your experience alongside a CV is required for applications to be considered. Please be advised applications made without providing a cover letter will not be accepted.

Background of department/role

The role of Course Administrator provides high quality administrative support for academic programmes of study, at all levels and modes of study. As part of the Faculty Academic Administration team, the role holder will work closely with other support functions including Faculty Quality, SITS Support and other Course Administration teams to support academic colleagues in delivering an outstanding student experience from admission to graduation.

What will you be doing?

You will support the operational administration of the curriculum via the SITs student records system. Using this data, the team will oversee the administration of core student processes including timetabling, allocation and Course Blackboard set up.

To excel in this role, you will have an understanding in the management of data, and the use of standard operating processes and procedures to achieve planned targets.

We would love to hear from you if you have skills and experience in SITs eVision, MS Office 365 and administration of higher education courses, however, full training will be given.

How will you work?

We are committed to supporting flexible methods of working wherever possible and this role is hybrid made up of three days office based and two days remote working.

There will be a requirement for the successful candidate to be 100% office based whilst undergoing full training. Once training has been completed the working pattern will vary on and off campus; but in most cases the work location will be determined by the service required or the tasks/activities being undertaken.

Canterbury Christ Church University truly welcomes fresh perspectives and new voices. We want you to bring the real you to work, so we are committed to building a genuinely inclusive working environment where everyone is welcomed and where everyone can have a true sense of belonging. Our spirit of community will help us to eliminate discrimination and will enable us all to thrive in a culture that is underpinned by fairness and justice. We therefore seek people to join us who will proactively support and shape this aim and contribute in their own unique way. If this is you, then we are waiting to hear from you. #yourCCCU
