Cover Supervisor

Permanent role

37 hours per week, term time + 5 days

Salary - £23,864 (FTE £27,334)

To start - Immediately

We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisor to join our dedicated team here at Colne Valley High School.

The Cover Supervisor will work under the guidance of our teaching staff to support students as individuals or in small groups both in and out of the classroom. The role will also involve the supervision of whole classes during teacher absence.

As a Cover Supervisor you will cover lessons of any subject. As a key part of your role, you will be required to set high expectations; motivating and challenging students whilst managing behaviour effectively and promoting a positive learning environment.

Ideally you will have had previous experience in this field, or, alternatively, you might have worked as a Teaching Assistant and be ready for the next step. This could be the ideal opportunity for someone wanting to gain experience in a classroom before embarking on a career as a teaching professional. Whatever your circumstances, you must have a passion and enthusiasm for working with secondary school students and you must be motivated by the desire to help pupils develop and inspire them to realise their full potential.

This position can provide an ideal experience for graduates of any subject to then apply for teacher training courses.

To apply for this position, please complete our application form and return as a Word Document to Hayley Drummond, Recruitment Officer at h.drummond@greatheightstrust.org.uk We look forward to hearing from you.

Closing Date - Tuesday 1st October, 9am
