Full Job Description

Baylis Court School is a popular and oversubscribed school for girls aged 11-18 in Slough, Berkshire. We are seeking to appoint, as soon as possible a Part Time Cover Supervisor to join our fantastic community.

Our students are polite, confident and highly motivated. They enjoy school, love learning and are driven to accomplish excellent results. Our "Outstanding" Ofsted reports are not only a tribute to their ambition, but to the commitment of our teaching staff.

You will find a refreshingly collaborative culture here, underpinned by mutual respect and trust. The Principal and Senior Leadership Team are visible, positive and proactive. Staff enjoy working at Baylis Court where they are recognised and valued, enjoying personalised professional development that is tailored to each individual's interests and aspirations.

We seek to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic and influential Cover Supervisor, who will inspire and provide excellent cover supervision in a range of classes and subjects in response to unforeseen short-term teacher absence, ensuring good order is maintained in the classroom and students remain on task. The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, be able to relate to a wide range of people and proven experience of behaviour management within a classroom. They will be able to work well as part of a team, but also demonstrate initiative and the ability to work alone. If you believe that you have these qualities, are passionate about being involved in the growth of students and are interested in working as part of our school team, then we look forward to hearing from you.

The person appointed will be given full support in their career development as we believe that development of staff is a key aspect in raising standards for our students.

If you believe that you are the right person for this role, we look forward to hearing from you.

We also offer a forward-thinking Employee Assistance Programme and Medical Cash Plan. Since we're close to the centre of Slough, travel connections are excellent. The M4 is within easy reach and also the mainline rail station.

CLOSING DATE: noon, 4 October 2024.
