Full Job Description

The Governing Body of Ysgol Bryn Castell Special School wish to appoint an enthusiastic, conscientious and caring Cover Supervisor to work in a highly motivated and friendly teaching team. The successful candidate will use a positive, innovative, solution-focussed approach to promote the learning, engagement, attendance, and wellbeing of pupils, supporting them to work towards achieving self-regulation and independence.

Ysgol Bryn Castell (YBC) is a community day special school maintained by Bridgend County Borough Council which provides education for pupils aged 7 to 19 years old with complex Behavioural, Emotional and Social Difficulties (BESD) including Autism alongside specific learning difficulties and other additional learning needs (ALN).

Applications would be welcome from colleagues with experience of working with pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) and knowledge and understanding of the curriculum and relevant learning strategies/ programmes for pupils with ALN, who are looking to further their professional learning journey in an inclusive caring environment who are passionate about enabling every young person to achieve their full potential.
