37 hours per week, Term Time Only We are seeking a flexible and proactive Cover Supervisor to join our growing team at Edgar Wood Academy. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual who is committed to supporting students' learning across all subjects in the absence of their regular teacher. The successful candidate will supervise classes and deliver pre-planned activities, ensuring students remain engaged and focused. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining experience in a school environment, with potential career progression towards teaching or working with students with special educational needs (SEND) or Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Edgar Wood Academy provides an inclusive and supportive setting, making this an ideal opportunity for personal and professional growth. Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support students in completing pre-planned work during teacher absences.
- Maintain classroom order and manage behaviour effectively.
- Ensure that students adhere to the school's Behaviour for Learning Policy.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff to deliver lessons and support student progress.
- Take responsibility for recording rewards and sanctions in line with school policy.
- When not covering lessons, support the SEND and pastoral teams, helping to manage students with additional needs or behavioural difficulties.
- Assist in extra-curricular activities and supervise students during examinations when required. What We Offer:
