Cornwallis Academy are seeking a Cover Supervisor. This role, offering flexibility and exciting challenges, spans Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 15:00 during term time, 38 rewarding weeks. We will consider applications from candidates interested in both temporary and permanent contracts.
What you'll be doing:
+ Whole Class Supervision: Stepping into the teacher's shoes, you'll oversee entire classes, implementing engaging pre-prepared lessons.
+ Curricular Knowledge: Embrace the opportunity to deepen your understanding of the school's curriculum, contributing to the holistic educational experience.
+ Behaviour Policy: As a key player in our team, you'll apply our school's Behaviour Policy, fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.
+ Homework: Facilitate the learning process by assigning homework crafted by the teacher, ensuring a seamless continuation of academic progress.
As our floating teacher, you'll be the backbone of our educational landscape, covering diverse subjects with flair. We're on the lookout for individuals with initiative and robust classroom management skills. Flexibility, teamwork, and a passion for education are the driving forces behind our search for the perfect candidate., Cornwallis are expanding and looking to welcome two Teaching Assistants who will work primarily with students whom have additional educational needs and those who can, at times, display challenging behaviour. You will need to have the ability and confidence to motivate and encourage students who have learning, emotional and behavioural difficulties whilst demonstrating empathy and an understanding of their needs.
As well as working with students in the classroom learning environments, you will also be required to carry out one to one work with students, across all Key Stages and curriculum areas. You may also be required to provide intimate care to our students at times. This will be a rewarding post within an extremely supportive working environment. Previous experience of working with children with additional needs would be an advantage and a Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable.
