Full Job Description
The post holder will be responsible for:
- Conducting simple clinical assessments according to national protocol.
- Preparation of the vaccine prior to administration by the immunisers using aseptic technique and drawing up of the vaccine from multi-dose vials.
- Administration of the COVID-19 vaccination to patients.
- Computer literate and able to enter vaccination data into live clinical systems concurrent with vaccination.
The Sowe Valley Primary Care Network is a network of ten GP practices covering 84,000 patients.
Our vaccination centre based at the Coventry and North Warwickshire Sports Club has been established specifically to support the COVID-19 vaccination programme with over 185,000 vaccinations administered to date.
We offer flexible shifts - 8am-1pm, 1pm-6pm or 8am-6pm with excellent rates of pay in a fun and friendly setting at the Coventry and North Warwickshire Cricket Club, Binley Road, Coventry.
As a Registered Health Care Professional, the post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering a safe and effective service for the mass delivery of COVID-19 vaccinations.
The post holder will undertake activities such as clinical assessment and drawing up of the vaccine from multi-dose vials and IM administration of vaccine.
