Full Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time band 6 Endoscopy leader within the UHL Community Endoscopy service. This successful candidate will lead the Endoscopy team within the brand new state of the art two room endoscopy Unit, at Hinckley Community Diagnostic Centre. The Hinckley Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) will be a brand-new purpose-built two floor health facility situated in the heart of Hinckley. The CDC will operate 7 days a week and will offer an extensive set of diagnostic services including imaging, cardio-respiratory, audiology, phlebotomy and endoscopy to meet the healthcare needs of the local population of Hinckley and its surrounding areas. Join us in our search for passionate and enthusiastic individuals as exciting opportunities and roles await at our new CDC Initially, you will be working and training at one of the 3 endoscopy units of Loughborough, Melton or Market Harborough. On completion of the new build, which is scheduled for January 25, the post will move to the base site of Hinckley along with the rest of the Endoscopy team. The endoscopy service in the Community consists of 4 units based in the community hospitals. This forms part of the larger UHL endoscopy service and sits within the Clinical support and Imaging CMG. We currently provide a 5 day service covering Monday to Friday over the hours of 8am to 6pm. The role allows for excellent work life balance and option for flexible working. Cross site travel to all units is an expectation of the role, driving license and access to a car for work purposes are an essential requirement for the position. All of our community hospital sites provide free onsite parking for staff and patients. The unit offers patients the opportunity to access high quality endoscopy procedures closer to home. This position offers you the opportunity to become part of a dynamic, forward thinking team that strives to offer the best nursing care to its patients. The team receives high patient satisfaction scores and in a recent survey staff reported feeling that their work life balance is taken into consideration and that their training needs are met. At the heart of the service and the team at Hinckley are our trust values, which each and every staff member works hard to uphold. Our new strategy, developed with the support and feedback of colleagues, patients, and partners, is our compass for the next seven years (2023-2030). We have four primary goals: high-quality care for all, being a great place to work, partnerships for impact, and research and education excellence And we will embed health equality in all we do - taking active steps to reduce the avoidable differences in healthcare that some people face, working in partnership with communities. Our strategy is underpinned by new values and we will work to ensure they are an everyday reality for all: we are compassionate, we are proud, we are inclusive, and we are one team This is an exciting moment as we look to the future with clarity on what we already do well and where we need to focus our energies to make an even bigger difference for the people we serve.
