We are looking for innovative and passionate individuals to be part of that journey and join our Corporate Portfolio Management Office (CPMO). The Corporate Portfolio Management Office (CPMO) works closely with programme delivery teams, sponsors, and boards. We provide and maintain an assurance framework for programmes that will deliver the Council's priority improvement programmes. You will be part of a skilled team that leads on programme management standards across the Council, ensuring that appropriate tools, templates, controls, and reporting arrangements are in place for the successful delivery of our change programmes. Collaboration is key; working with a range of stakeholders and sponsors across the Council to identify and remove barriers and ensure successful delivery and ensuring there is transparency and accountability across all our improvement and transformation activity. We are looking for applicants with experience in Programme Management Offices or Portfolio /programme/project management environments who have a passion for driving and assuring change. Someone that can thrive in a busy and energised corporate Portfolio office and play their part in the improvement journey of Europe's biggest council. We are looking for CPMO Engagement Partners to join our Corporate Portfolio Management Office (CPMO). Working closely with sponsors, programme managers, delivery boards and key stakeholders; you will be confident and experienced in providing targeted support, challenge, and assurance across a range of programmes that are driving positive change and outcomes for the city and its residents. You will act as a critical friend and sounding board to colleagues to support the successful delivery of transformation programmes and best practice. We are looking for people who have excellent technical and soft skills that can be effectively applied to deliver a Centre of Excellence to drive forward project and programme management standards and performance. You must upload a Supporting Statement via the attachments part of your application. This is required for shortlisting; you need to describe how your experience and skills fit the essential criteria for the role as specified in the Person Specification. If you do not attach your Supporting Statement, your application will not be considered. We encourage applications from people of all backgrounds and aim to have a workforce that represents the communities we serve. Our data tells us that for this level of role, ethnic minorities are underrepresented and therefore we will use positive action to support us to achieve diverse shortlists. This may mean that recruitment times are a little longer, but we think this is worth it to achieve our aim. Birmingham City Council is an accredited Disability Confident Leader employer, and we are committed to employing, retaining and developing all of our people. We want to ensure your recruitment journey with us is a positive and equitable one, so please let us know if there are any reasonable adjustments, additional support, accessibility needs, or if there is any way in which we can support you through your application. "Interviews for this post will take place virtually via video conferencing. Shortlisted candidates will be provided with further information"
