Full Job Description

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE:

  • Crane Sales Manager for heavylift and transport projects

  • Competitive salary depending upon experience with excellent benefits package

  • Working at the Mammoet office in Thornaby, Teesside with regular UK travel

  • Your main responsibility will be to proactively sell Mammoet's services and expertise. The focus is on crane rental department and promoting Mammoet's ability to provide quick turnaround solutions. Building business relationships is important to get not just new business, but to secure added value work after initial order and ultimately become a preferred supplier.
    This is a full time, permanent position to be based at our Teesside office. Travel throughout the UK will be required when necessary.

    WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
  • Sales: pro-actively identify, develop and secure business from new and existing customers; determine present and future need; close the contract.

  • Account Management: initiate and maintain relationships with customers, monitor developments and co-ordinate processes as required.

  • Sales Planning: develop and realise a sales plan in line with department and company strategy.

  • Contract Management: interact with other departments to determine the best methods to perform the scope of work.

  • Negotiation: negotiate with internal and/or external parties; close the contract; initiate or be involved in kick off meeting.

  • Administration: maintain own pipeline of opportunities and target clients; ensure all sales records are kept up to date.

  • Strategic Planning: Working alongside other team members to develop a business strategy plan.

  • Commercial: Review and understand cost and commercial positions.

    A degree in a Commercial / Technical discipline would be advantageous.

  • Proven Sales experience in a relevant industry.

  • Strong level of English both verbal and written.

  • Proven ICT ability, e.g. able to use Microsoft Office to a high standard.

  • Valid UK driving licence.

  • Willingness to travel throughout the UK.
