As our Supervisor/FLM, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Site General Manager in meeting our customers' high expectations. You'll be at the helm of day-to-day operations, ensuring the seamless functionality and performance of your team. You'll lead and guide Team Leaders, Warehouse Operatives, and Administrators, whilst upholding and maintaining the highest service standards. A key responsibility will have you overseeing and managing all crane operations safely and efficiently within the facility. Join us in this pivotal role and be a part of our journey to excellence!,
- Responsible for effective and efficient Operational Area Management along with conducting management briefs and communicating operational requirements.
- Manage Staff Training and Competency to ensure achievement of all requirements, on time and in full, including conducting training needs analysis.
- Ensuring compliance of the operation to the Quality systems, industry standards and legal requirements
- Manage and develop the team through mentoring/coaching colleague
- Ensure crane operations are managed and delivered in accordance to the customer requirements
- Continually reviewing all aspects of the operation and driving improvements in methods, procedures and efficiency
- Creating and maintaining an environment that encourages employee participation and effective team working and ensuring employees are involved in the success of the operation through continual feedback and positive communication.
Logistics management experience in a large fast moving environment - Crane operations primarily fixed overhead
- Strong warehouse management system experience
- Leadership qualities including the ability to enthuse and motivate
- Financial and strategic management experience and commercial awareness
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- IOSH Level Trained (Preferable)
- Knowledge and awareness of Heavy lift/ Container handling
