Full Job Description

The role of Creative Incubation Administrator at Banks Mill Studios is essential in supporting the operational efficiency and community engagement of this vibrant creative hub. You will be responsible for managing front-of-house activities, ensuring a high level of client service from initial enquiry through to tenancy. Key responsibilities include providing administrative support, coordinating tenant and member onboarding, and managing enquiries to maintain accurate records. Additionally, the role involves promoting enterprise initiatives to students and graduates, working closely with academic staff to integrate these activities into the curriculum. You will also support marketing efforts, maintain digital content, and assist with the organisation of events such as the annual Open Studios. This position is critical to enhancing the visibility of Banks Mill within the University of Derby and the broader community, helping to foster a dynamic environment where creativity
and enterprise thrive.

You will have a strong background in administration and customer service, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential, along with proficiency in IT and database management. Experience in a creative or entrepreneurial setting, especially within a studio or incubation environment, is highly desirable. You should be well-organised, detail-oriented, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team. A passion for supporting creative enterprises and an understanding of the unique needs of students and artists will be crucial. While a degree in a creative or entrepreneurship-related field is advantageous, equivalent experience in administration and customer service is equally valuable. The role may occasionally require working outside of regular hours, reflecting the dynamic nature of our enterprise activities.
