Our specialist school in Islington is seeking an innovative and passionate SEN Art Teacher to join our team and lead creative lessons that nurture the talents of students with special educational needs. Role Overview: As an Art Teacher, you will deliver exciting and engaging lessons to students with SEND, enabling them to explore and express themselves through various artistic mediums. You will create a safe, inclusive environment where students feel confident in their creativity and are encouraged to develop new skills.,
- Plan, prepare, and deliver art lessons that are tailored to the individual learning needs of students with SEND.
- Encourage creativity and provide individualized support to ensure students achieve their artistic potential.
- Collaborate with other staff members to integrate art into the broader curriculum and foster interdisciplinary learning.
- Track student progress and provide regular feedback on their development.
- Create a positive, nurturing environment that supports emotional and social development through creative expression.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching art, preferably in a SEND context. - A passion for creativity and the arts, and the ability to share this with students.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to teaching.
