Full Job Description

As an SEN Science Teacher, you will develop and deliver science lessons to students with SEND, ensuring that lessons are accessible, engaging, and effective for all students. You will work alongside a team of educators to support the individual learning needs of each student, helping them achieve success in both academic and personal development.,

  • Plan and deliver differentiated science lessons that are accessible to all students with SEND.
  • Use creative and engaging strategies to make science learning interesting and understandable for students with various learning needs.
  • Track and assess student progress, providing feedback and adjusting teaching methods where necessary.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants and other support staff to ensure personalized learning.
  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with additional learning needs.
  • Encourage student independence, confidence, and positive social behaviours in the classroom.
