Full Job Description
You will work with an age-specific group each day collecting them from their
classrooms and managing their free choice area from 3:20 - 4:30pm. Then you'll
support them while they eat 4:30 - 5:00pm followed by either staying managing the group area, or moving into managing on of our creative areas e.g. Arts and Crafts, Dance and Karaoke, Drama and Role Play, Homework and Quiet Zone, Fruit Cafe, Music Zone. You don't need specific expertise in the creative areas but an enjoyment in helping children develop skills, have fun and make their own work. At least two years working with children aged 4-11 in a relevant context required
Group Leaders - Sports and Games Focus 3:15 - 6:15pm
You will work with an age-specific group each day collecting them from their
classrooms and managing their free choice area from 3:20 - 4:30pm. Then you'll
support them while they eat 4:30 - 5:00pm followed by either staying managing the group area or moving outside (or to an inside space if raining) to manage football and/or group games. Specific sports experience and a wide-ranging knowledge of team sports and games for Reception - Year 6 required and at least two years working with children aged 4-11 in a relevant context required.
DUTIES
- Communicate effectively with children to understand their needs
- Support children to stay engaged and focused in free-choice creative play and
- Offer support and encouragement to boost children's confidence
- Use your creative or sporting knowledge and expertise to manage creative or
- Support children in all aspects of pastoral care and safeguarding and with the

- Able to work as part of a team and use own initiative to contribute ideas
- Excellent knowledge of the safeguarding framework, positive behaviour
- Current DBS check
- Must have two referees including current employer that demonstrate work with
- Play work, childcare, teaching or teaching assistant qualification or other
- Experience of working in out of school care environments
- DBS registered with the Update Service
- Recent relevant safeguarding training
- Recent relevant first aid training

This is a flexible role where you can choose your days for each term and we may be able to offer your child a free place to attend and a slightly later start time to accommodate you collecting them and bringing them to the club if this is of interest.
Pay: From £16.00 per hour (dependent on role, experience and qualifications) inclusive of rolled up holiday pay + auto-enrolment pension if opted in
The employers' pension is calculated on gross weekly pay less £120.00, then multiplied by 3%.
The closing date for applications for a September start is Wednesday 10th July with interviews and observations on site either Friday 5th or 12th August.
CONTRACT TERMS
For the first half-term from 2nd September - 18th October 2024 we will o[er a zero hours contract with weekly pay for hours worked paid on the Monday after the week you have worked. This is to allow for a probation period for both you and the company. If you thrive in the role and are happy with the terms and conditions, subject to review we will then o[er fixed term term-time including statutory holiday pay contracts for the rest of the school year.
