As a Credit Assessment Advisor you will gain great exposure to our sales and retailer network. Reporting to a Team Leader the key responsibility will be to deliver a class leading service in underwriting New Business retail and corporate finance applications for the Volkswagen Group Dealer Network. About the role:

As a Credit Assessment Advisor you must have a thorough understanding of all the financial products and services offered by VWFS (UK) LTD and how these products apply to different customer types, combined with strong analytical skills and an understanding of financial accounts.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Underwrite finance proposals adhering to the current VWFS policy and procedural guidelines in a professional and timely manner.

  • Produce, analyse and distribute, operational reporting and Management Information on the performance of the department to measure delivery against agreed SLA's.

  • Develop and maintain key relationships with retailer/dealer groups and internal stakeholders.

  • Identify opportunities for improvement and support key initiatives and projects championed by the team

  • Provide clear and concise guidance on a defined range of processes and be recognised by others as a point of contact for advice, & process improvement. Receiving and resolving retailer queries or escalations as appropriate

  • Assist with training of existing and new members of the Underwriting team and help the Underwriting Team Leader with on-going coaching where appropriate.

  • Act as a subject matter expert for their peers and ensure their knowledge of current regulation, policies and procedures is accurate and up to date at all times.

  • Assist with auditing of Underwriting decisions and or telephone activity or any additional Quality Assurance activity as directed by the Underwriting Team Leader.
