Full Job Description

Our Finance department is delighted to announce an exceptional opportunity for a Credit Controller to join our esteemed team in Nottingham on a fixed term contract.

This critical role requires a detail-oriented individual who can maintain strong relationships with clients, resolving any invoice issues efficiently.

You will be responsible for managing and processing incoming payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring the timely collection of outstanding invoices.

Working Hours:

This role will initially be office based whilst you receive full training, but then it can become Hybrid! The working hours are Monday to Thursday from 08:30 to 17:00, and Fridays 8.30am - 4pm!

Your Duties Will Include:

  • Actively chase unpaid debt both with the business and within the business for the parts of the sales ledger you are responsible for


  • Processing debit notes/claims including gaining approval from the business


  • Chasing old debt and resolving queries

  • Work with and hold account customer directors and managers for resolving issues including debit notes and other internal matters that are the root cause of issues in Accounts Receivable

  • Dealing with customer debt disputes and escalating to the Accounts Receivable Team Leader as required

  • Allocating cash to customer accounts on a timely basis

  • Providing samples requested by the external auditor

  • Ad hoc work as requested by the Accounts Receivable Team Leader

  • Be an active team member of central finance

    Attention to detail and working at pace

  • 1-2 year experience within a similar role

  • Good communication skills with the ability to speak to the business and customers in a professional manner and willingness to call customers to chase unpaid debt
