Full Job Description

Applications are invited from existing suitably experienced and qualified Firefighters and Crew Managers. Eligible applicants will need to meet the following criteria as a minimum:

  • Be a competent Firefighter
  • Completed ICS course or pre-incident command review
  • Have good leadership skills
  • Not subject to formal performance improvement actions, nor have any live disciplinary sanctions
  • Discussed the opportunity with your Line Manager
  • Live or work within a 5-minute response to the Station
  • Whilst it is desirable, it is not essential to have attended a Leading Others Assessment Centre.
  • From 1 April, we are introducing development rates of pay for any new individuals moving into a development or an acting-up role.
