Full Job Description

1. To provide clinical leadership by actively taking lead in complex referrals/cases, and participating in policy and service developments 2. To demonstrate advanced competence in highly complex decision making, assessment and the management of clinical needs within the specialist area of practice 3. To initiate and contribute towards research and audit within the area of expertise 4. To provide regular clinical/managerial supervisions to staff in the team in collaboration with the wider Band 7 CRHTT structure and as per delegation by the CRHTT Manager to achieve compliance to Trust Policy. 5. To provide leadership support to the team providing urgent referral triage, MH assessments, and crisis/home treatment interventions as required, including monitoring of clinical standards, audit and adherence to Trust policy., 1. To act as a lead point of contact for the services responding to requests for the service and promoting the role of the team. 2. To work with the line manager on the delivery of the Crisis, Home Treatment, Triage, and bed management functions (OOH). 3. Responding to complaints and suggestions from clients and carers, in accordance with Trust policies and procedure 4. To take continuing responsibility for urgent care services interventions. 5. To act as a specialist lead clinician covering the area. 6. To utilise specialist skills in managing and communicating with patients, their families, carers and other agencies in situations that are sensitive, highly complex and may be emotionally distressing. 7. To offer support and advice to carers and patients. 8. To observe confidentiality in all matters relating to clients and staff. 9. To maintain a high standard of clinical and professional practice at all times in accordance with the Professional Body guidelines. 10. To ensure rapid access and timely response to patients 11. To provide specialist advice to the public via third sector organisations 12. To deliver clinical/managerial supervision

The salary range quoted is as per NHS Agenda for Change pay structures. This is based on the number of years' working directly within the NHS at the advertised pay band. Experience gained with other NHS Trusts will apply, but candidates without prior experience working direct for the NHS would normally be appointed at the lowest point unless they can demonstrate the equivalent experience and then be eligible for incremental increases in future years. Successful applicants for clinical posts up to and including Band 4 are expected to hold the national Care Certificate qualification and will be supported to attain this once in post. The successful post holder will work 37.5 hours per week as a Band 7 Senior Lead in CRHTT service over the 24 hour period 7 days a week. The post holder will be expected to work predominantly night duties with occasional requirement to rotate into day shifts for short periods of time. The post holder will be allocated to one of the 4 CRHTTs however there is also the expectation to work across any of the 4 localities whenever necessary. The post involves clinical leadership, line management responsibilities and deputising in the absence of the Team Manager. This role will also compliment and support the existing management structure of the team. CRHTT is at the forefront of providing an excellent borough wide urgent care mental health service to clients who would otherwise require hospital admission.
