Full Job Description

As the Crime Data Supervisor, you will oversee the day-to-day operation of the Crime Admin Team to meet required levels of service in addition to distributing duties to the Crime Admin Assistants.

You will also manage queries and managers that come direct to you or via the SPOC daily ensuring a response is actioned in a timely manner.

This is an ideal role for an individual looking to further a career in administration and who has a passion for the welfare, development, and productivity of their team., The day-to-day supervision of the Crime Data Admin Section, including the allocation of work and quality control.
Ensuring that crime details are correctly recorded.
Ensuring that risks to the Force/Command which may affect its ability to provide business as usual now or in the future are identified and escalated to their line manager or local Risk Champion at the earliest opportunity.
Advises the Crime Data Assistants on aspects of the Crime Systems ensuring crimes are accurately recorded and any anomalies are corrected.
Determining work targets, monitoring results and undertaking routine quality checks on the accuracy of recorded crime information.
Assists in the monitoring and management of the staff overtime budget.
Undertakes supervision of staff within the Section, including task allocation, Performance Development Reviews, training and welfare.
Paperwork received from CJU to be filed/stored/labelled correctly in accordance with Force policy.

Do you have previous experience of supervising an admin team?, Educated to G.C.S.E or NVQ equivalent. Literate and Numerate.
Previous experience working in a busy office environment incorporating a wide range of administrative procedures.
Well-developed organisational skills
Ability to work under pressure and contribute to the work of a team.
Demonstrates the ability to use own initiative and judgement in the interpretation of issues.
Has the ability to liaise with people at all levels both internal and external to the Division.
Demonstrates attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
