Full Job Description

As a Criminal Injuries Compensation Administrator for Humberside Police, the post holder will co-ordinate the processing of all Criminal Injuries Compensation Claim forms received by the Force by providing an effective and efficient service, ensuring compliance with relevant guidance and legislation and are processed and returned within required timescales., Acts as the SPOC for processing all requests received by the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA) in relation to victims of crime applying for compensation.
Ensures records are up to date and that cases are responded to within the required timescales, taking remedial action where required
Research and interrogate various Police Systems, including PNC and Niche, to gather required information to progress CICA applications.
Always comply with GDPR and the Data Protection Act.
Providing effective administrative support for the processing of Criminal Injuries Compensation requests received by the Force, ensuring that deadlines are adhered to.
Responds to any general queries received from Officers and CICA, acting as a conduit and providing advice and guidance where necessary.

Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent.
Previous experience of using computer systems to input, amend or retrieve information.
Experience of working in a secure confidential environment.
Demonstrates an eye for detail when checking records/documentation.
Possesses an understanding of when matters should be referred to supervision.
Ability to organise and prioritise own workload.
