Full Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Criminal Justice and Engagement Manager to join our team on a 6 month Secondment at our Aylesbury and High Wycombe Centre.
The post-holder will work as a member of the Criminal Justice and Engagement Team delivering a range of interventions to service users and work alongside the ORB Management team in ensuring service targets are met by mentoring and supervising staff.
A major part of the role is to integrate effective pathways for those involved in the criminal justice system into the service and support staff in meeting targets set by commissioners.
They will take a lead role in service promotion and encouraging new Service User's into treatment., The post-holder will support staff in providing structured work to their Service Users with particular emphasis on Psych-Social Interventions and ensure that the service is meeting its targets regarding service users exiting treatment drug free.
You will have operational oversight of the Psycho-Social Interventions delivered within the service and of the ORB Family Service.
You will promote positive working relationships with Criminal Justice Partners to ensure engagement and treatment pathways are effective and meet the needs of service users involved with the criminal Justice system.
The post-holder will support and encourage staff to meet targets set by commissioners and work with staff in meeting Service User's needs and goals., + Be responsible for providing both formal and informal supervision to designated members of staff and general support to the team as a whole.
+ To support the Manager with specific tasks identified by the manager to promote effective service delivery.
+ To accept referrals, assess need and make appropriate recommendations as part as a robust 'duty system'.
+ Provide harm reduction advice, information and support with an emphasis on safer drug use, safer sex, HIV, Hepatitis A,B and C and other blood borne infections
+ To make home visits consistent with need.
+ To carry out comprehensive assessments, construct care packages with multi-disciplinary colleagues where required, review care plans in a structured format and manage onward referral.
+ To provide a range of intervention including CBT based brief solution focused therapy and motivational enhancement techniques.
+ To develop and sustain links with multi-disciplinary services including statutory and non-statutory providers of Tier 2,3,4 drug services, criminal justice services and providers of wrap around services.
