Full Job Description
Role-Specific Responsibilities:
- Deliver DRR/ATR intervention in line with National Probation Service (NPS) court order requirements.
- Provide a seamless link between police/court custody suites, prison, and the community.
- Provide information for courts and other criminal justice agencies on the suitability for drug treatment interventions.
- Provide recovery planning and review, as well as structured group work within the Foundations of Recovery/Rehabilitation framework if needed.
- Reducing drug and alcohol related harm to service users and the wider community
- Promoting carer, service user and community involvement
- Providing advocacy for access to partnership services
- Working with individuals to support social (re)integration, enabling them to lead meaningful and purposeful lives: promoting recovery, resilience, peer support and self-determination.
To thrive in this role, we are looking for individual who: - Possess an understanding of substance misuse and relevant experience in this field or a related area.
- Have knowledge of the Criminal Justice system.
- Understand effective interventions that lead to a reduction in drug-related crime.
- Be an excellent communicator, both verbal and written with good IT skills
- Proactive and able to work on own initiative with excellent time management and prioritising skills
- Have a good working knowledge of mental health interventions, services, and good practice
- Be a supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in partnership with a wide range of professionals, agencies, and internal/external stakeholders.
- Be an excellent communicator, both verbal and written with good IT skills
